She has a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, Master’s in Criminal Justice, and a Master’s in Public/Business Administration. Myra believes wholeheartedly in giving back. She served as a volunteer for many nonprofit organization
Myra W. Armstead is a person of passion purpose, and impact. She is a law school graduate of Miles School of Law. She has a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, Master’s in Criminal Justice, and a Master’s in Public/Business Administration. Myra believes wholeheartedly in giving back. She served as a volunteer for many nonprofit organizations. However, she has a passion for assisting women within her local community and abroad. She has her own clothing ministry “The Trunk Ministry” in which she donates gently used clothing to needy single mothers in surrounding communities as her personal ministry towards empowering women. Myra is a licensed and bonded notary public “M A Notary & Signing Agent Services” for the State of Alabama. She provides free notary services to senior citizens and poverty-stricken individuals in surrounding communities. She volunteered with several local church mission ministries in her community specifically serving needy families. She served on various boards and maintain memberships with various organizations. She volunteered with several legal clinics in her community. Myra is an advocate for people specifically the underserved. She volunteered with several voter’s registration initiatives. She is the founder of “Sister Circle Seven”. This is a diverse spiritual lead platform for women to share, uplift, build and inspire one another The organization also focuses on addressing the needs of young girls ladies and women of all ages. Myra serves in various areas to empower women through motivational speaking and countless other platforms, including but not limited to women conferences, media interviews, symposiums, college events, etc. She also offers “One on One with Myra” mentor services, which provides a more personal and confidential settings for mentor participants. Myra recently became a WAGG 610 AM Radio host for her own talk show “The Myra Armstead Talk Show.” The talk show is spiritually base, while connecting the audience with everyday life encounters providing exposure for an overall better quality of life. Myra has recently launched “Myra Armstead Ministries” in an effort to expand her calling and to serve the world through ministries. She continues her mission in giving back by continuing to volunteer whenever duty call.
Myra served as one of the past presidents of Miles Law School Student Bar Association (SBA) and will always be an ambassador for Miles Law School. Myra have also been privileged and publicly recognized as a past recipient of the Women Lawyers Service Award. She also was the recipient of the Atlanta Regional Commissioner’s Humanitarian Citation Award for exceptional community contributions and achievement. Myra is also a member of the prestigious national Women’s Association P.O.W.E.R. She also served as a proud member and supporter of the Birmingham Civil Right’s Institute. She was recognized by the Mayor of the City of Birmingham, Alabama as a 2020 StrongHer candidate. Myra was also recognized in the City of Hueytown Magazine for her self-published book “Divine Purpose”. She was featured in the Birmingham Times Newspaper for her contribution to the community. Myra is also a reoccurring feature in the SwagHer Magazine and have been since 2019. She was also recognized as the 2020 Trademark Women of Distinction Honors Edition award. She was nominated and became a finalist leading to her being the recipient of the 2021 Black Author’s Rock Best Non-Fiction Award. Myra was also a 2022 nominee and a finalist for Power Up Award.
Myra’s most impactful accomplishment was becoming an author. She wrote and published her FIRST book, “Divine Purpose”. This accomplishment has led to an abundance of opportunities for her. She recently accepted her true calling in ministry and have expanded her outreach to ministry, doing so has unleashed a state of being that she has never experience before. Myra continuously searches for ways to make a difference in her own unique way. She is continuing to embark upon her God given purpose. She is humble by the things that God is doing in her life as well as the way in which he has chosen to use her for his Glory.
